Job Summary
Full-Time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside on campus in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and following a nine-on/three-off work schedule with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person of $44,768 (approx. $168,000 total per couple with housing, meals, utilities, and more), comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid time off, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse couple must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role modeling for students
- Willingness to participate in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Two-person employment application requirement for consideration
- Relocation assistance provided
- Place and live with same group of students as Placed Houseparent later in role
