Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple Full-Time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide care, guidance, and supervision, manage household routines, administer medications, transport students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off and may transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Requires experience with youth, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; both spouses must complete individual applications for consideration; relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse role requires married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive student vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- No alcohol on duty
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Approved dog breed and limit on pets
