Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside on campus in student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, and paid time off. Qualifications require a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a two-person married-couple arrangement for at least two years, with both spouses aged 27 or older. Experience with youth and comfort leading devotions are preferred, and the role prohibits alcohol on duty and requires a smoke-free/weapon-free campus environment.
