Job Summary
Full-Time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational programs, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule and transitions to living and working with the same student group in a dedicated home.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Two-spouse married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
