Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (Full-Time) reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA, provide care and guidance to a group of approximately 8–13 students, supervise daily routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and follow a nine-on / three-off work schedule with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Relocation assistance and paid training provided
- Salary: $44,768 per person (approx. $168,000 per couple)
