Job Summary
Directing and implementing individualized physical therapy care plans focusing on pain relief, muscle function restoration, and improved mobility. Oversee Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to prescribed protocols while evaluating patients' functional capabilities through diagnostic assessments. Conduct home evaluations to recommend modifications enhancing client independence and safety, and administer therapeutic exercises, manual treatments, and physical agents as indicated. Fit and adjust prosthetic/orthotic devices, coordinate with physicians, and document clinical records meticulously including discharge summaries in compliance with OASIS regulations. Participate in interdisciplinary team case conferences and educate clients and families on therapy tools and strategies for continued recovery outside the clinic.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A valid Physical Therapy license in the State of New Jersey
- Current CPR certification
- A valid driver's license and automobile insurance
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Minimum of two years' experience in physical therapy
