Job Summary
Direct and implement physical therapy treatment plans to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and enhance muscle function while supervising Physical Therapy Assistants. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional capabilities through diagnostic assessments and clinical tests, then assess patients' home environments to recommend modifications. Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as traction and massage, and fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices. Participate in case conferences to create cohesive treatment plans, instruct families on care techniques, and regularly observe, record, and report changes in patient conditions. Work onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Fredericksburg, VA, on a standard weekday schedule from Monday to Friday.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- A valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist, in good standing.
- Current CPR certification
- A valid driver's license with automobile insurance
- A commitment to clinical excellence and a passion for patient-centered care
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with patients and their families
- A proactive attitude and the ability to make independent decisions while working within a collaborative team environment
- Must be available for a standard weekday schedule from Monday to Friday
- Must work onsite at the rehabilitation facility in Fredericksburg, Virginia
Desired Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in both acute care and home health settings
- Successfully implemented innovative treatment strategies
- Demonstrated a track record of improving patient outcomes
