Job Summary
Monitor patient safety, security, and confidentiality for individuals presenting danger to themselves or others during 12-hour shifts (0700-1900 or 1900-0700). Ensure stakeholder safety using de-escalation techniques, log all incidents, and communicate site activities via two-way radio and computer applications. Report changes to security and hospital staff while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision. Travel frequently to hospital locations within a 500 km radius of Ponoka using your own vehicle, with mileage reimbursement provided. First Aid and CPR certification is required, and applicants must attend security training.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- First Aid and CPR - Level C Certification
- Valid Class 5 License
- willingness to work on-demand and pick up shifts on short notice
- open availability including a willingness to work weekends and overnight shifts
- willingness to travel to other hospital locations in your own vehicle
- Must be able to work both day and overnight shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
