Job Summary
Monitor patient safety, security, and confidentiality for individuals presenting danger to themselves or others, utilizing de-escalation techniques and two-way radios to communicate site activities. Log and report all incidents from staff, physicians, patients, or visitors while maintaining detailed interaction logs and handling private information with discretion. Ensure stakeholder safety by screening visitors and clients professionally, making immediate decisions during emergency responses with minimal supervision. Work 12-hour shifts (0700-1900 or 1900-0700) including weekends and overnight rotations in Ponoka and surrounding rural areas within a 500 km radius. A valid Class 5 license and willingness to travel in your own vehicle are required, with mileage reimbursed at company rates. First Aid and CPR certification is mandatory, with additional training provided if needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- First Aid and CPR - Level C Certification
- Valid Class 5 License
- Willingness to work weekends and overnight shifts
- Willingness to work on-demand and pick up shifts on short notice
- Valid class 5 drivers license
- Willingness to travel to other hospital locations in your own vehicle
- Open availability
- Ability to work both day and overnight shifts
- Must stay alert at all times
- Ability to make immediate decisions, while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
