Full Time Ocupational Therapist

Job Summary
Provide and administer occupational therapy to patients and residents in accordance with physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Director of Clinical Services/Clinical Manager. Those applying for PRN hours are encouraged. The role supports an in-house therapy program at a 60-bed skilled nursing community, with flexible scheduling (days, evenings, Saturdays) and on-site therapy delivery. Key responsibilities include initial examinations and evaluations, creating and revising the plan of care, maintaining patient records, coordinating discharge plans with COTA, supervising the COTA, ensuring adherence to safety precautions, timely documentation, and ongoing supervision as required by state practice acts. The position emphasizes supervision and collaboration, utilization of EMR, and compliance with payer requirements, with opportunities for growth, orientation, and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited educational program in occupational therapy.
- Licensed in the state in which they will be practicing.
- Must not be excluded or sanctioned from state or federal program.
- Demonstrate professional attitude and appearance.
- Proficient administrative and communication within department and facility and company.
- Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in the practice of their discipline.
- Display working knowledge of multidisciplinary practice scopes in the Outpatient, ALF, ILF and/or LTC setting.
- Thorough knowledge of all payer source documentation and payment requirements.
- Ability to use analytical skills to develop outcome driven solutions.
- Prior EMR/computer experience.
