Job Summary
Manage high-volume and diverse OB/GYN cases, including monitoring laboring patients and delivering unassigned births at Mercy Hospital. Provide evidence-based obstetric care and surgical skills within an expanding system-wide program supporting 4,700 annual deliveries. Engage with maternity specialists and nurses to promote patient safety and participate in performance improvement initiatives. Enjoy flexible work shifts as part of a collegial, patient-focused team dedicated to community health.
Required Qualifications
- NYS Licensed MD or DO
- Board Certified / Board Eligible
- Strong clinical background in evaluation and management
- Experience demonstrating excellence in evidence-based obstetric care and surgical skills
- Experience in monitoring laboring patients as well as delivering unassigned patients
- Direct record of safety with a patient safety focus
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization to promote a culture of patient safety and participate in performance improvement
