Job Summary
Nursing Instructor role at a Florida district educational site requiring an RN with active Florida licensure and substantial RN experience. Candidates must hold or be eligible for the District Vocational Certificate and RN Teaching Certificate, with options including a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing and 2+ years of RN experience, or 6+ years of RN experience if without a Bachelor’s. Required Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse with the Florida State Board of Nursing
- 6 years of verifiable full-time occupational experience as a Registered Nurse or BSN RN with 2 years of verifiable full-time occupational experience as a Registered Nurse
- Must be eligible for a District Vocational Certificate covering Registered Nurse
- Qualifications for RN Teaching Certificate: Must be a Registered Nurse with the Florida State Board of Nursing and have 6 years of verifiable full-time occupational experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse or hold a Bachelor / Master's degree in Nursing and two years or more of occupational experience as a Registered Nurse
- Less than a Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of 6 years of occupational experience as a Registered Nurse
- Recency of experience: At least 6 weeks of occupational experience gained within the 5 year period immediately preceding the date of application for employment
- Drug testing and background fingerprinting per statutory requirements and School Board Policy
