Job Summary
Night Registered Respiratory Therapist needed at Methodist Richardson Medical Center (Bush/Renner Campus) for 12x3 Night shift (7p-7a, 24/7). Responsibilities include performing respiratory therapeutics (oxygen administration/weaning, aerosol/humidity therapy, bronchial hygiene, chest physiotherapy, CPR), arterial blood gas analysis, pulmonary function studies, ECGs, ventilator management, and equipment maintenance. Requires NBRC registration, Texas license, BLS and ACLS; NRP and Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of hire. New graduates welcome. Proficient in respiratory assessment and treatment for adults and neonates; adherence to infection control, safety, and quality assurance; ability to interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT data; ability to work under indirect supervision of medical director.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Current Basic Life Support certification required
- Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required
- NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support — must obtain within 1 year of hire
- Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
