Job Summary
Registered Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory therapy and diagnostic procedures including ABG, PFTs, and various ventilator supports, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, and airway maintenance for adults and neonates. Works under indirect supervision of the department Medical Director; responsible for respiratory assessment and treatment, interpretation of CXR/ABG/PFT data, and operation of cardiopulmonary equipment. Requires current Texas licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner, NBRC registration, and graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program. Minimum 6 months of experience. Performs CPR and contributes to infection control, safety, and quality assurance. Night shift with 24/7 coverage at Methodist Richardson Medical Center (Collin County, TX).
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by Texas Medical Board as Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
