Job Summary
Direct daily nursing care for residents while supervising licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants. Administer medications, perform wound treatments, and transcribe physician orders. Conduct rounds to assess resident status, initiate care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. Manage admission, discharge, and transfer processes while ensuring strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Provide leadership to nursing personnel, participate in management meetings, and respond to grievances or incidents. Maintain infection control standards and complete assigned training competencies.
Required Qualifications
- A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
- Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
- Current CPR certification.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
