Job Summary
In-home mobile veterinarian role focusing on hospice and euthanasia care in Pittsburgh, PA and surrounding areas. Flexible schedules (2–5 days/week) with ~3–4 appointments per day, allowing meaningful family interactions and emotionally fulfilling patient care. Practice medicine with purpose, supported by onboarding, mentorship, and a 24/7/365 support center, while maintaining independence within Lap of Love’s collaborative veterinary community. Duties emphasize compassionate end-of-life care, home visits, and client communication in a mobile setting. Compensation varies by schedule, with 4-day positions starting at $107,500 and 5-day positions at $130,000 plus bonus opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
- Eligibility to practice veterinary medicine in PA
- Experience in veterinary hospice and/or euthanasia care preferred
- Ability to work independently in mobile setting
- Strong client communication skills
- Compassionate bedside manner
- Comfort with home-based veterinary visits
