Job Summary
In-home mobile veterinarian role providing hospice and euthanasia care to pets and families in Suffolk County, NY. Flexible 2–5 day-per-week schedule with 3–4 unhurried appointments per day, support for ongoing mentorship, and opportunities for base salary plus bonuses. Independent practice within Lap of Love’s veterinary hospice model, emphasizing work-life balance, emotional fulfillment, and meaningful patient-family interactions. Bay Shore area and surrounding locations; in-home visits required.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M./V.M.D.) or equivalent license in the state of New York
- Active veterinary license in good standing
- Ability to provide hospice and euthanasia care in-home
- Excellent communication and empathy with clients and pets
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently with mentorship and support
- Flexible schedule with 2-5 days per week availability
- Comfort with home visits and travel within Suffolk County
