Job Summary
Mobile Crisis Social Worker provides crisis assessments and interventions in community settings, leads daily huddles, collaborates with community providers and external partners, completes required documentation in a timely manner, maintains a trauma-informed environment, advocates for linkage to supports, and contributes to 24/7 mobile crisis intervention teams in Westchester County. The role requires a Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling and licensure/certification options such as LMSW/LMHC, with the ability to obtain required licensure within 6 months of hire; NY driver’s license; and English/Spanish language skills are a plus. The position is based in New Rochelle and Mt. Vernon, NY, and involves in-person, on-site crisis response work.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling (required)
- LMSW or LMHC license (not required upon hire, but must have ability to obtain license within 6 months of hire)
- Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner
- Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
- Licensed Occupational Therapist
- Registered Professional Nurse
- NY Driver's license required
- English/Spanish a plus
- Crisis intervention and response skills a plus
- Experience with community-based services
- Work well independently and within a team environment
- Strong written skills
