Job Summary
Capture accurate and detailed documentation of medical encounters into the Electronic Medical Record (eClinical Works) while managing a minimum of three to four patients per hour. Communicate with patients, pharmacies, and physicians over the phone under physician guidance, and facilitate diagnostic tests and referrals when indicated. Assist with basic patient care, procedures, and proofreading physician documents for accuracy. Ensure all clinical data, lab results, and interpretations are recorded correctly in compliance with legal and ethical requirements. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to established protocols to support physician productivity and quality reporting efforts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/ GED
- Must comply with specific standards that apply to the style of medical records and to the legal and ethical requirements for preparing medical documents and for keeping patient information confidential
- Being able to manage a minimum of three to four patients per hour on average
