Job Summary
Perform routine and complex laboratory testing across multiple modalities while analyzing patient specimens to ensure accuracy and quality. Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation, then review and verify test results before reporting. Adhere to all safety standards, infection control policies, and regulatory guidelines while maintaining accurate documentation and patient records. Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding findings, assist with inventory management, and support continuous process improvement initiatives. This full-time role in Bandon, Oregon, offers up to $120,000 annually with a collaborative, patient-focused environment and opportunities for career advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related laboratory science field
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) program
- Oregon laboratory licensure, if applicable
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and quality control practices
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‐paced clinical laboratory environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- ASCP, AMT, or equivalent national certification preferred or eligible, as required by employer
