Job Summary
Obtain and accurately document vital signs and patient information, prepare patients for exams, and assist providers during procedures. Perform phlebotomy, collect and process specimens, and maintain exam rooms to ensure efficient patient flow. Communicate effectively with patients in person and via telephone while providing patient education with compassion. Support laboratory recordkeeping, routine safety checks, and maintain accurate documentation adhering to clinical and regulatory standards. Work Monday through Friday on the 1st shift in the Physician Clinics department.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assistant training (CMA/RMA preferred) or equivalent experience
- Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)
