Job Summary
Provide safe, courteous, efficient and customer-focused service in our Meat Department; supervise team members to meet standards; perform opening/closing duties; package, wrap, display and price meat products; trim meat/fish with carving tools; manage stock in freezers and cases; ensure accuracy of pricing and specials; maintain cleanliness and food-safety compliance; operate equipment such as meat slicers and wrapping machines; adapt to cooler environments while maintaining guest access and stock visibility.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Safe Food Handling Certificate within 3 months upon hire
- Experience in customer service or relevant meat experience is an asset
- Co-operative retail experience is an asset
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working with equipment like meat slicers, wrapping machines, pricing equipment
- Able to work in cooler temperatures

- Schedule flexibility for day shifts
- Experience in meat department operations
- Supervisory experience preferred
