Job Summary
Monitor the daily care of all residents by ensuring service plan information is communicated to caregivers and managing their assignments. Administer medications, maintain the med cart, and document accurately in the MAR while recording and implementing physician orders. Respond to resident requests, changes in behavior or condition, and incidents or emergencies by communicating with families, physicians, and management as needed. Manage minor community issues that arise during the shift and report to maintenance or administration. This role requires a current Texas LVN license and the ability to work alongside caregivers in a small-scale residential environment at Franklin Park Alamo Heights in San Antonio, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Current Texas LVN license
- Able and willing to work alongside caregivers in providing hands-on care to residents, with the ability to lead by example
- genuine interest in working with older adults and their families
Desired Qualifications
- EMR skills or experience with electronic records
- Prior training and experience in dementia care
- Prior experience supervising staff
