Job Summary
Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain vitals and medical histories, and administer subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections. Conduct spirometry testing and navigate the EHR to record accurate patient information while greeting visitors and managing front desk duties like check-ins, payments, and scheduling. Track clinical inventory, ensure end-of-day reports are complete, and assist with monthly IOP procedures and mentoring new hires. Work Monday through Friday with varying hours, including 7:30am to 5:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Required Qualifications
- basic knowledge of medical terminology
- exceptional customer service skills
- effectively and clearly communicate with others to exchange information effectively
- administer subcutaneous, intradermal and intramuscular injections
- manually take patient vital signs
- maintain effective working relationship with patients, medical staff and the public
- react calmly and effectively in a difficult or emergent situation
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, balance with full range of body motion including handling and lifting up to (20) lbs
- manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer/keyboard at (50) wpm, calculator, telephone, copier and fax
- operate a motor vehicle to travel between clinics
- 6+ Months of Nursing Experience
- Current Nursing State License
- valid driver's license
