Job Summary
Execute SMART customer service policies while assisting customers with locating, selecting, and loading merchandise. Pull, stage, and prepare customer and contractor orders accurately, utilizing power equipment and store technology safely. Maintain in-stock conditions through down stocking and replenishing, ensuring clean, organized work areas and reporting safety hazards. Serve as a visible extension of the Pro Desk by engaging Pro customers, supporting enrollment in rewards programs, and ensuring Pro Standards are maintained. Load customer vehicles using proper techniques based on order size and weight, completing required power equipment and spotter training. Assist with large order fulfillment in the Garden Center, partnering with the Department Supervisor to ensure orders are staged and ready for pickup.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 Months Retail experience
- 6 Months Experience as a Loader at any home improvement or hardware retailer
- 6 Months Retail merchandising experience, including performing Zone Recovery, stocking, down stocking, facing/fronting product, pricing, maintaining signage, and housekeeping
- 6 Months Experience in any industry inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading product or material in or out of vehicles
