Job Summary
Conduct customer service by assisting shoppers with locating, selecting, and loading merchandise while responding promptly to inquiries. Pull, stage, and prepare customer and contractor orders accurately, utilizing power equipment and store technology to move and load goods safely. Maintain in-stock conditions through down stocking and replenishment, ensuring clean, organized work areas inside the store and parking lot. Identify and report safety hazards, theft, and security concerns to management. For Pro and Garden Center roles, remain visible under the canopy or loading area to support large, complex orders, engage repeat customers, and ensure accurate vehicle loading based on order weight and size. Complete required power equipment and spotter training to support safe and efficient loading practices.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
- 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 Months Retail experience
- 6 Months Experience as a Loader at any home improvement or hardware retailer
- 6 Months Retail merchandising experience, including performing Zone Recovery, stocking, down stocking, facing/fronting product, pricing, maintaining signage, and housekeeping
- 6 Months Experience in any industry inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading product or material in or out of vehicles
