Job Summary
Prepare and execute menu items according to standardized recipes, with a focus on pizza dough preparation, stretching, topping, and baking. Work across multiple kitchen stations including grill, sauté, pantry, and garde manger while assisting with daily prep of sauces, proteins, and mise en place. Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all food safety, labeling, and sanitation procedures. Collaborate with chefs and team members to support banquet, à la carte, and special event operations. This role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a starting salary of $19 per hour for a full-time position at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a line cook in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, country club, or upscale dining environment.
- Proven experience in pizza preparation, including dough handling, stretching, baking, and pizza oven operation.
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to work multiple stations.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- A team player with a positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional quality.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Ability to stand and walk for 8–10 hours per shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in hot, fast-paced kitchen environments.
- Manual dexterity and coordination required for knife work and food preparation.
- Background check required.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in upscale dining, private clubs, or resort-style operations is strongly preferred.
- SERV Safe Food Handler Certification preferred or obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
