Job Summary

Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions and determine appropriate rehabilitation plans tailored to individual health and recovery goals. Implement effective one-on-one treatment sessions utilizing advanced therapeutic techniques, modalities such as electrical stimulation, and treatments like heat and cold therapy. Design and supervise patient-specific exercise regimens, leveraging our facility's resources including treadmills, recumbent bikes, and elliptical trainers for optimal warm-up and rehabilitation. Document patient progress meticulously using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitating comprehensive care. Motivate patients through their treatment journeys, fostering a supportive atmosphere that encourages recovery and enhances their functional capabilities. Regularly communicate with other healthcare team members to discuss patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary, ensuring continuity of care.

Required Qualifications

  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution
  • A valid and current Physical Therapist license in Virginia
  • A minimum of one year of proven experience in a physical therapy setting, specifically within orthopedic outpatient practices
  • Exceptional clinical skills
  • A strong knowledge base in biomechanics and musculoskeletal disorders
  • Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques
  • Demonstrated proficiency in exercise design tailored to patients' unique needs
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
