Job Summary
Perform thorough initial evaluations of patients to assess physical conditions and rehabilitation needs. Develop and implement customized therapy plans centered on each patient's goals, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities. Instruct and guide patients in mobility exercises to improve functional abilities and independence. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, engaging in case reviews and consultations to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within our electronic medical record (EMR) system, specifically utilizing WebPT for efficient patient data management. Monitor patient progress and adapt therapy plans as necessary, fostering continual improvement and feedback. Work primarily with orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Typical hours are weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM, with a manageable patient load of one per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Michigan
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Equivalent graduate-level education
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT
- Strong communication skills
