Job Summary
Implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans to improve client functionality and independence. Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments of muscle and joint function, administer therapeutic exercises, and utilize manual therapy techniques to alleviate discomfort. Collaborate with physical therapy assistants to ensure adherence to protocols, while monitoring progress, documenting clinical records, and adjusting treatment plans based on physician prescriptions. Assess and recommend home environment modifications to facilitate rehabilitation. Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review client progress and engage patients and families in the treatment process through education on rehabilitation protocols and device usage.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- A valid and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia
- Current CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members
