Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments to identify individual patient goals and requirements, ensuring tailored treatment plans for clients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal issues. Manage a caseload of one patient per hour while utilizing orthopedic treatment modalities to improve mobility and enhance quality of life. Deliver cost-effective physical therapy interventions that minimize medication reliance, develop comprehensive care plans, and create customized fitness programs to promote independence. Document all interactions clearly and collaborate with licensed physical therapists and assistants to monitor progress and maintain communication with healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent field
- A valid California state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- A clean professional record, free from any board or disciplinary actions against the practice license
- Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques
- Proficiency in developing effective exercise protocols
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams
