Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to determine individual needs and treatment goals. Develop, implement, and modify personalized treatment plans based on patient assessments and progress, ensuring alignment with physicians' plans of care. Provide therapeutic interventions for a wide range of conditions, including orthopedic injuries, pediatric disorders, neurological impairments, and sports-related issues. Educate and empower patients and their families about their conditions and recovery processes, fostering active participation in their rehabilitation. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation aides to optimize patient care through evidence-based practice. Meet established patient utilization goals and other clinical and business performance objectives to ensure the sustainability and growth of the practice.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a physical therapy program accredited by the APTA or CAPTE
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Current and active state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in documentation and patient record management
- Computer literacy including familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Empathy and a genuine desire to help patients establish and exceed their rehabilitation goals
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Two years of experience as a practicing Physical Therapist
- Specific training in various therapeutic domains
- Prior experience working with the pediatric, geriatric, and sports medicine populations
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development within the field of physical therapy
