Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans for orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases. Execute and monitor therapy sessions using manual techniques and exercise prescription while providing education to patients and caregivers. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maximize outcomes and achieve minimum utilization goals within the outpatient office in New Haven. Requires a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, state license, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Connecticut
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, including word processing and the use of electronic health records (EHR)
- Ability to build strong relationships with patients
Desired Qualifications
- at least two years of clinical experience
- ideally in an outpatient setting
- Experience with a variety of treatment modalities, including manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription tailored for specific patient needs
- Prior knowledge of evidence-based practices that improve patient outcomes and clinic effectiveness
