Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients recovering from injury, disease, or surgery within a home care environment. Design and implement individualized treatment plans using therapeutic methods, including exercises, manual techniques, and assistive devices. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes. Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on appropriate physical therapy practices and use of assistive devices. Maintain accurate records and documentation as per regulatory requirements and organizational policies. Participate in regular professional development activities such as workshops, training sessions, and industry conferences. Provide mentorship and guidance to new graduates seeking to transition into the field.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey
- At least two years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in basic computer and word processing skills
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and demonstrate flexibility in your approach to therapy
