Job Summary
Conduct direct physical therapy treatments to prevent disability and alleviate pain while evaluating clients through comprehensive diagnostic assessments of muscle, nerve, and joint function. Oversee Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure accurate care plan implementation and monitor client progress to adjust strategies collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. Facilitate patient and family education on therapy devices and manage treatment processes, while completing all required clinical records for compliance. Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences and contribute to community outreach initiatives to advocate for rehabilitation services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state license (DPT) in good standing for Virginia
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license with automobile insurance
- Minimum of two years of experience
- Strong commitment to clinical excellence
- Positive attitude towards collaboration in patient care
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both in communication with patients and families, as well as with interdisciplinary teams
