Job Summary
Develop individualized treatment plans and conduct thorough diagnostic assessments of patients' functional capabilities, muscle, nerve, and joint performance. Direct physical therapy assistants to ensure high-quality care delivery while administering therapeutic exercises, traction, massage, and other prescribed modalities. Evaluate and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices, recommend modifications to physicians, and assess home environments for safety modifications. Maintain meticulous records of sessions, evaluations, and progress while collaborating in interdisciplinary case conferences. Provide education to clients and families regarding therapy methods and device usage. Requires a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, Virginia license, and two years of experience; salary ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, in good standing
- Current CPR certification
- A valid driver's license with automobile insurance
- A minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- A collaborative mindset to work effectively with the interdisciplinary team and engage with clients and families
