Job Summary
Evaluate patients referred by physicians, establishing clear treatment objectives and monitoring progress throughout their recovery journey. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for rehabilitation, employing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques. Provide care that may include both in-facility treatments and home-based therapies, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on treatment processes and lifestyle modifications to promote continued recovery. Meet or exceed utilization goals and other performance indicators while demonstrating exceptional customer service. This role supports diverse populations including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients at our Highland Park facility.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program
- Valid state license in Physical Therapy
- Basic Life Support Certification from an accredited organization, such as the American Heart Association
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in word processing and electronic documentation systems relevant to healthcare
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Two years of previous experience as a practicing Physical Therapist in a clinical setting
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, particularly in orthopedic, pediatric, and neurologic physical therapy
- Knowledge of injury management protocols and familiarity with relevant clinical tools and methodologies
