Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations upon physician referral to assess physical condition and functional abilities. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans integrating cutting-edge research, utilizing advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities to optimize outcomes. Collaborate with ancillary providers and support staff to coordinate care, while educating patients and caregivers on home exercises and lifestyle modifications. Maintain accurate documentation of progress and communicate effectively with medical teams. Achieve minimum productivity benchmarks while delivering high-quality, safe care to diverse populations including orthopedic, pediatric, and neurological patients.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited APTA or CAPTE-approved program
  • Current state licensure in Physical Therapy; candidates must meet the requirements of Connecticut state regulations
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited provider, such as the American Heart Association
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfortable using technology for documentation
  • A proven ability to build rapport and establish therapeutic relationships to inspire and motivate patients
  • A proactive approach to personal and professional development, with a desire to connect positively with the community

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings is preferred, particularly with diverse patient populations
  • Familiarity with modalities and treatment practices specific to orthopedic and sports medicine care
  • Participation in ongoing continuing education and training related to innovations in physical therapy
