Job Summary
Evaluate and assess patients using evidence-based tools to create individualized treatment plans tailored to specific needs. Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities to facilitate rehabilitation while ensuring adherence to the physician's plan of care. Demonstrate exceptional customer service, educate patients and caregivers about procedures, and track progress to adjust treatments based on feedback. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maximize outcomes and contribute to meeting minimum utilization targets. Treat a diverse population including orthopedic, pediatric, neurological, and sports medicine cases. Full-time Monday through Friday shifts for 40 hours a week.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program
- Holding a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Valid state license to practice as a physical therapist in New Jersey
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with patients and team members
- Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills for patient documentation and care management
- A commitment to building strong relationships with patients, allowing for a supportive environment conducive to recovery
- A positive disposition and eagerness to connect with the community and enhance patients' lives
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in an outpatient setting, particularly in specialties such as orthopedics, pediatrics, or sports medicine
- Knowledge of current treatment modalities and physical therapy techniques
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to facilitate efficient documentation and patient management
