Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine rehabilitation needs and develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices. Manage a daily caseload of up to 7 patients, delivering individualized sessions while educating them on therapeutic exercises and self-management strategies. Monitor progress closely to adjust plans as necessary, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team including physicians and occupational therapists. Document all sessions meticulously in the electronic medical record system to ensure compliance. Work onsite Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually. The role focuses on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain within a supportive outpatient environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and unrestricted New York State Physical Therapist license
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient setting
- Solid understanding of various therapeutic approaches
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and connect with patients effectively
- Proficiency in using EMR systems
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree
- Experience with evidence-based treatment protocols, particularly for post-operative orthopedic patients
- Knowledge of sports rehabilitation and techniques for managing athletic injuries
- Familiarity with additional modalities such as dry needling, Kinesio taping, or vestibular therapy
