Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to assess strength, mobility, and overall physical function. Develop individualized treatment plans and implement evidence-based techniques for orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine specialties. Utilize therapeutic modalities to help patients regain independence while educating families on rehabilitation processes and wellness strategies. Maintain accurate patient records to track progress and outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Meet established minimum utilization goals while collaborating with other healthcare professionals in a supportive outpatient office environment in East Haven, Connecticut.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- A current state license to practice as a Doctor of Physical Therapy
- At least two (2) years of relevant clinical experience
- Current CPR Certification
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using electronic health records systems and basic computer applications
Desired Qualifications
- Additional certifications in specialized therapy areas, such as dry needling, manual therapy, or sports rehabilitation
- Experience with community outreach or patient education programs
- Ability to forge strong relationships with patients and foster community connections
