Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to determine physical therapy needs and design individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices. Administer skilled therapeutic interventions aimed at restoring function, mobility, and overall quality of life while maintaining open communication with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Consult with, educate, and empower patients and their caregivers to take active roles in their recovery process. Work with a diverse population including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports-related conditions to help clients navigate unique recovery journeys. Meet performance goals and contribute to the facility's overall effectiveness through exemplary customer service.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from a program accredited by the APTA or CAPTE
- A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use computer systems and word processing applications with proficiency
- A genuine desire to connect positively with patients and the community
