Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injury, disease, or surgery and develop individualized treatment plans. Implement therapeutic techniques including exercise regimens, stretching maneuvers, and hands-on modalities to alleviate pain and enhance mobility. Document treatment outcomes meticulously to track progress and adjust objectives as necessary. Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment methods and self-management strategies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care. Engage in continuous professional development through workshops to stay current with methodologies. This onsite role supports a diverse patient population ranging from children with developmental issues to adults post-orthopedic surgery within a modern rehabilitation facility in Winchester, VA.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A valid State License to practice Physical Therapy
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and their families
- Proficient computer skills, including word processing and electronic health record systems
- A flexible and adaptive attitude to meet the diverse needs of our patients
