Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations, review medical histories, and design tailored treatment plans based on baseline functional abilities. Effectively communicate findings to patients and families to engage them in goal-setting, while implementing and adapting treatment protocols aligned with current best practices. Consult with an interdisciplinary team including physicians and occupational therapists to discuss progress and modify care plans as needed. Document all patient care activities accurately, maintain comprehensive records reflecting interventions and discharge planning, and manage time effectively to meet productivity expectations. Engage in departmental goal-setting, participate in continuing education, and mentor students and new team members.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and the healthcare team
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting
