Job Summary
Evaluate patients referred by physicians to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and medical backgrounds. Implement and adjust treatment strategies based on clinical best practices while documenting progress accurately in electronic health records. Engage with patients using therapeutic modalities and exercises to restore function, reduce pain, and restore independence. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including occupational therapists and physicians to optimize outcomes and provide educational resources to patients and caregivers. Work Monday through Friday for 40 hours weekly in a multidisciplinary environment serving diverse populations recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and neurological conditions.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
- A valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice within Florida.
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting.
- Up-to-date Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective interaction with patients and team members.
- Proficient in word processing and electronic medical record systems.
- A strong commitment to establishing rapport and building trust with each patient, fostering an environment conducive to recovery.
- A passion for positively connecting with individuals and a desire to promote health and wellness in the community.
Desired Qualifications
- Expertise in specific specialties such as sports medicine, pediatrics, or neurological rehabilitation is preferred but not required.
- Experience with using advanced rehabilitation technologies and equipment.
- Familiarity with community outreach programs and initiatives aimed at improving public health awareness.
