Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments by reviewing medical histories and evaluating physical conditions to formulate individualized treatment plans. Diagnose movement dysfunctions and implement evidence-based modalities, instructing patients on therapeutic exercises to maximize benefits. Utilize techniques such as therapeutic massage and manual therapy to promote healing, while assisting patients with mobility aids like wheelchairs and walkers. Maintain accurate patient records documenting goals and progress, and educate families on in-home exercise options and self-care strategies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive evaluations and optimal outcomes for diverse populations, including post-surgical recovery, chronic pain management, and sports injury rehabilitation.
Required Qualifications
- A valid state Physical Therapy license to practice in Florida
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Orthopedic Therapy or related fields
- Proficiency in assessing and treating a wide range of physical health conditions
- Strong computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic word processing
