Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or other debilitating conditions and formulate individualized treatment plans to enhance mobility. Utilize manual therapy, exercise programs, and specialized equipment to alleviate pain, while documenting progress and tracking responses to adapt care. Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment protocols and assistive device usage. Stay current with physical therapy advancements through workshops and professional development opportunities. This full-time role at our rehabilitation center in Darien, Connecticut, serves a diverse demographic including children, adults, and seniors with orthopedic, neurological, and sports-related conditions.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Valid Physical Therapy License in the State of Connecticut
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and word processing software
- Flexible and adaptive capabilities to meet the varying needs of patients
- Two years of clinical experience
Desired Qualifications
- A Doctorate (DPT)
- Prior inpatient or outpatient experience, particularly in rehabilitation settings
