Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to determine physical therapy needs. Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans aimed at helping patients achieve rehabilitation goals. Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to facilitate recovery, improve function, and alleviate pain. Document patient progress and outcomes meticulously, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Offer education and guidance to patients and their families about treatment plans, expected outcomes, and home exercise programs. Demonstrate excellent customer service while collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care. Participate in continuous professional development and training to keep abreast of the latest advancements. Treat a diverse patient population including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine conditions. Work onsite Monday through Friday with a 40-hour workweek.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (APTA or CAPTE approved)
- A valid state license in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems and general computer applications necessary for documentation
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, with a strong background in outpatient settings
- Experience working with a diverse patient demographic, particularly in the specialties listed above
