Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess physical limitations, tailoring treatment plans per physician referrals. Implement therapeutic interventions across orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine specialties, adapting techniques to individual needs. Deliver skilled therapy at patient homes when necessary and educate patients and caregivers on exercise protocols and injury prevention. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to employ evidence-based methodologies aimed at maximizing recovery and functional performance. Meet and exceed performance metrics regarding patient satisfaction and operational efficiency while maintaining an active Virginia license and BLS certification. Work with diverse populations from pediatric to geriatric age groups in a supportive, onsite Fredericksburg facility.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Active state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- computer and word processing skills
- A commitment to establishing rapport with patients
- A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Current CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Prior experience in a multi-disciplinary setting
