Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physical conditions and functional abilities following physician referrals. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating therapeutic modalities for orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine rehabilitation. Implement and adjust programs using manual therapy, exercises, and modalities to facilitate recovery. Collaborate with physicians and nurses to achieve optimal outcomes while providing education on home exercises and self-management. Maintain accurate documentation of progress and interventions to meet compliance standards. Submit a resume and cover letter detailing experience and interest in this position.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Valid state license for Physical Therapy practice in New York
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and fellow healthcare professionals
- Proficient in using electronic documentation systems and general computer applications
- Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate patients toward achieving their individual rehabilitation goals
Desired Qualifications
